NOTW: Birthday manicure

Hello lovelies! Today I'd like to show you my birthday manicure. My nails were in need of some fresh 'paint' so the evening before my birthday I decided to create this manicure. Hubby chose the base color - I offered him my new Essie nail polishes to choose from and he went for Turquoise & Caicos. It's a stunning shade, but I decided to give it a bit of 'bling' as well, so I went for Essence's Glorious Aquarius glitter top coat.

I love this Essie shade - in the bottle it kind of looks mint but on the nails it's a wonderful turquoise color. Unfortunately, turquoise and my camera don't seem to like each other - every time I take pictures of a product/item/nail polish that's this kind of color, it comes out a bit... patchy? It just doesn't look clean and clear as it should. I think the last picture, taken in direct sunlight demonstrates the color most accurately. :)
