L'Occitane en Provence: Melting Honey

5. november 2015

Hello darlings! I have something sweet for you today - a new (limited) line from L'Occitane called Melting Honey (doesn't that just sound delicious?). The line is based on shea butter but with the addition of honey, the products from this line have a beautiful scent to them and even more moisturizing properties. And don't even get me started on the beautiful packaging... :)

So... I have almost all of the products except the body scrub (which I might get as well). :) I've been testing these babies out for a while now and I feel like I can give you an honest review. But if you're not in the mood for all the details all you need to know is that this is an amazing line and you need to get it, all of it! :D

Soft shower gel - A gorgeous, deliciously sweet smelling shower gel that actually is what it claims - soft. I hate it when companies market their shower gels as moisturizing, creamy or whatever and they end up being totally drying/stripping. This one really is very soft and creates a beautiful, creamy foam (especially if you use a loofah with it). To me it really does smell like honey, but not sickly sweet. The scent is very true to fresh, raw honey but a bit more sophisticated (my grandfather was a bee keeper back in the days so I know what I'm talking about).  Honey lovers will enjoy this scent, no doubt about that. (17.50 €, 250 ml)

Ultra Soft cream - A beautiful, soft, luxurious body cream with an interesting, light texture that intensely moisturizes the skin but also absorbs very quickly and doesn't leave your skin 'tacky' (I hate it when I apply a body cream and then have to wait half an hour for it to absorb). Like the whole line, it smells absolutely divine and the beautiful scent tends to linger for quite a few hours so that's a big plus. (22€, 100 ml).

Whipped hand cream - When I heard/read the name whipped I thought 'yeah, right...' It's just another marketing trick to make you want it/buy it, but when I actually tried it I realized it really did have a whipped texture to it. Now to some people that doesn't really matter, but it certainly makes me love it even more. :) It's a really moisturizing hand cream but again super light and absorbs very quickly (I love that about this line). The only downside is that you use it up fairly quickly. I would be thrilled if L'Occitane would come up with a larger version of this cream. (7.60 €, 30 ml)

Lip balm - Another great product... a beautiful and very moisturizing lip balm that isn't waxy. It has the same lovely scent as the whole line, but doesn't taste like honey so don't try to eat it. :) (7.60 €, 12 ml)

Solidarity soap - A soap for a really good cause! 100% of the profits go to a rural area of Burkina Faso to provide either glasses/eye wear or eye treatments for people in need. Now if that isn't a good enough reason to buy a new bar of soap, I don't know what is... :) Oh, and it smells amazing by the way. ;)
(around 3€?, 50 g)

To sum everything up... I'm blown away by this line and I need L'Occitane to make this a permanent line. That's all I have to say. :)
