*Vichy Idealia Eyes

22. april 2014

Hello my lovelies! How is your day going? I was awaken by an earthquake today... and my dog barking because of it. :S But on the bright side, I seem to be on my road to recovery from this nasty cold I've picked up somewhere. So... today I thought I'd review another awesome product from Vichy - Idealia Eyes eye cream (take a look at last week's review of Teint Ideal foundation, if you haven't seen it yet).

This is a new product in the Idealia line (you can also find a serum, face cream, BB cream and other products within this line). It's suppose to contour the eye area - illuminate it, reduce the look of dark circles, smooth out fine lines and just give your eyes a bright, well rested look. I have to say I agree with Vichy - I absolutely love this eye cream!

First of all, can we talk about the packaging? It's gorgeous (as the whole Idealia line seems to be - I mean, did you see the packaging of the serum?!). :) I love the gentle pink color in combination with silver, it just makes it look so nice. The only part of the packaging I don't really like is the applicator - I can see how it can be useful and how it's supposed to be used, but I just prefer to put a little cream on my ring finger and gentle massage it into my eye area. I don't like the feeling of 'running' the applicator around my eye (even though it's very gentle, almost feels like silicone). And I've discovered that the applicator becomes dirty quite fast and unwanted 'things' tend to stick to it (like tiny hair, dust...). So, what I do is just apply the cream on my finger and then 'distribute' it where I want to. :)

The cream itself is really nice - it's a bright pinky-beige color with tiny shimmer running through it (which I hope you can see in the pictures above). It has no noticeable scent which is great for an eye cream (you don't want to be applying a bunch of perfume around your eyes). It blends out beautifully and absorbs quite fast. It's not heavy at all yet does a great job at moisturizing the eye area. I found that it works great as a base for my eyeshadow primers and afterwards eyeshadows as well - it doesn't seem to affect my makeup at all and does not make it last any less/more time. I've been using it for quite a while now and it does not irritate my eyes whatsoever and hasn't caused me any problems (like milia forming or any dry, red patches, for example).

As you can hopefully see from the pictures above, the cream does a great job at illuminating the eye area, making it look brighter and more awake. It also does some under eye circle covering, but nothing major, so if you have really bad under eye circles, you'll still have to use a concealer.

I think this is a lovely eye cream and if you're looking for a new one (and especially if you're looking for an illuminating one), than you should really check this one out. You can get it in your local pharmacy and it retails for around 24 €, which I think is not that much, considering how little you need to use and how much you're getting (15 ml) - it will last you quite a while.

    1. Super kremica je, priporočam! Aplikator ima pa tak gumijast, silikonast - je zelo mehak in nežen, ampak mi pač ni všeč s tem kremo mazat okoli oči, raje s prsti nanesem in lepo razmažem. :D
