NOTW: Essie + OPI

15. avgust 2013

Hello lovelies! You won't believe it but I decided to post another manicure. :) I got such a great response from you when I posted my first manicure and a lot of you said you want to see more... so here you go (see, I always strive to please you). :D

I created this manicure using Essie's Mint Candy Apple as a base and topped it with a gorgeous OPI polish that I got in a swap form Nuša (thank you hun!). :) It's called The Living Daylights. It's a clear polish with blue, copper and silver hexagon shaped glitter. I thought it would look great with a mint polish, though I will try it with a purple one because I loved the manicure Nuša did with this polish. :)

As with most glitter nail polishes, this one can be a bit tricky to apply. Well no... the application isn't hard but it is hard to get the desired amount of glitter on your nails. I didn't want to have just a few glitter parts on my nails so I ended up overdoing it on most nails but I still liked how it turned out. I'm really into special top coats, especially glitter ones, so a little glitter overdose is fine with me. :)

The only thing I don't like about this polish is the removal... This little bugger is stubborn. I know most glitter nail polishes are hard to remove, but this one is really really hard to remove. I did the whole 'cotton pad + nail polish remover + foil' thing and after 10-15 minutes when I removed it, there were still some bits and pieces left. But I love it anyway, even if it's a big pain in the ass to remove. :D

This is my first OPI nail polish and I think I'll be getting more soon. Maybe I'll get one each month since they're so ridiculously expensive. :) Which ones would you recommend (if you own any of course)?

What do you think of this manicure, like the combination? Do you like to play around with glitter polishes as well? :)
