Liz Earle Signature lip colour in Raspberry

29. april 2014

Hello my lovelies! Today I have another gorgeous lipstick to show you (I've seem to be accumulating a lot of those recently). If you've been following my blog for some time now, you probably already know I'm obsessed with Liz Earle - I love their skin care products and can't live without their Cleanse & Polish, Instant boost tonic and Eyebrigth lotion, but I haven't tried any of their makeup before, so I thought I'd start with lipstick. :)

I would probably have a lot of trouble picking out (just one) shade, if it weren't for Sandra (The Black Pearl blog) and her post on Liz Earle makeup/lipsticks - I fell in love with Raspberry right away. :)

Even though I love Liz Earle as a brand I have to admit I wasn't expecting much from their makeup - I find that most brands with a whole range of products (from skin care to makeup) tend to do only one 'thing' right, so eater their makeup sucks/isn't as good, or their skin care does. Well, it turns out Liz Earle can do both and really, really well. :)

The lipstick is on the sheer side, but that's something I expected, since the brand clearly states that these lipsticks/lip colors are sheer and subsequently very wearable. The shade I picked, Raspberry is very true to it's name. The lipstick itself feels wonderful on the lips, very hydrating and not drying whatsoever. It does seem to give the lips a bit of shine, but nothing too much and even though you can see subtle shimmer in the pictures I took bellow, you can't really see it in person, even if you look really closely.

Because of the formula, the lipstick doesn't last long on the lips so re-applying is a must. I personally don't mind that at all (as I've said many times before, I hate lipsticks that feel drying/uncomfortable on the lips and last a long time, I much prefer moisturizing lipsticks that need to be re-applied). Oh, and I have to mention the packaging as well because it's really nice - not super luxurious but not cheap eater (love the logo and writing on it as well).

I'm very happy with this lipstick - both the shade and the formula are wonderful and I know I'll be getting some other shades as well. I'm also really interested in their foundation, bronzer and blushes. All in all I have to say that Liz Earle seem to really know what they're doing, because so far I love every single product I've tried from them. You can pick up this lipstick or any other shade for £14 (17 €), which I think is a solid price.

So, what are your thoughts on this lipstick, would you like to try it? Have you tried any other makeup from Liz Earle? :)

  1. I enjoy Liz Earle too. I use their hot cloth cleanser almost every morning! I've never tried their makeup though! This sounds really lovely, I love how it's sort of subtle color!
