I was going through my makeup collection the other day and realized I haven't shown you my little Artdeco palette. I bought the palette from Biba when she had a blog sale. It came with one eyeshadow and a blush. The eyeshadow wasn't really appealing to me, but I've used the blush a lot and I really like it. As you can see there is no blush in the palette now because I've bought new eyeshadow and put them in. The palette is magnetic so the eyeshadows stick to it.
The first eyeshadow I bought was the black matte one (no. 503). I needed a black matte eyeshadow to line my eyes with or go over an eyeliner. When you look at it in the pan it seems a really light black, a grey-black color but when you swatch it or apply it, it's a really black black. I only have this black in my makeup collection so I can't compare it to other black eyeshadows. Well... I do have the black eyeshadow in the Naked2 palette called Blackout, but it's just not a good eyeshadow unfortunately (that's what you get for buying a cheaper palette).
The next two colors I decided to add to my palette were the purple ones. The purple ones? What are you talking about Maja? We don't see any purple eyeshadows... Well they are actually both purple. The first one (no. 17) is a grey-brown color mixed with purple. It's a beautiful color, very unique. The pictures really don't do it justice, you have to see it in person. I love this color and I don't have anything like it in my other palettes. The other one (no. 218) is more of a silver-purple color (if that makes sense). Again this is also a wonderful color and you really have to swatch it and see it with your own eyes.
The last addition to the palette was the chocolate brown color with golden sparkles in it (no. 378). I really wanted a warm chocolate color and when I swatched this one I fell in love. It's such a rich color and the golden sparkles just make it pop. I love it. :)

And here are some pictures taken indoors, using flash.
I really don't travel a lot or even carry around eyeshadows in my makeup bag, but I know this palette is really travel friendly - it holds the eyeshadow in place and closes tightly so there's no risk of it opening. It also has a big mirror inside which comes in handy.
The eyeshadows themselves have a lovely, almost buttery texture and are very pigmented. Each one costs around 5 € which I think is not a lot because I feel they are going to last me quite some time. I really want more eyeshadows from Artdeco but am curently looking at some other palettes. We'll see if I get some more or not... :)
